Vintage Happy Driver Electronic Driving Toy Partially Working

This toy does power on and light up when you turn the key, and the screen inside spins to simulate a road.  The steering wheel turns to make the little car move on the screen.  The shift lever clicks back and forth, but does not appear to do anything.  I believe the car is supposed to move around as well, but that is not working.  I looked inside and it appears there is a gap between a couple gears, I don't know how to adjust and fix but maybe someone does. ideal for everyday use. first-class materials and excellent craftsmanship ensure long-lasting durability.
